Biofortis Mérieux NutriSciences – COVID-19

Update – March 19th of 2020

At Biofortis Mérieux NutriSciences, we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 issue and we will continue to do so. Our priority is to ensure the safety of our employees and volunteers and while serving our customers with no compromises on quality and on service.

We have put in place the following preventive measures:

• Implemented international, national and local travel restrictions to minimize the spread of the virus
• Prioritized remote communication and working methods to minimize direct contact by way of online meetings internally with our employees and externally with our clients and stakeholders.
• Strenghtened cleaning measures of our laboratory and facilities
• Promoted actively hand washing and all other hygiene and preventive practices
• Following the last communication of the French President Emmanuel Macron on an unprecedented strict 15-day lockdown requiring a majority of the French resident to remain at home, we have decided to close the clinical investigation center for at least 15-days.

Parallely we have put in place measures to ensure business continuity and prepare for the future:

The Biofortis’ team is currently working to define solutions able to continue or temporarily suspend the ongoing studies and we will define together the proper action plans to limit impact of this crisis on your study. Of course, the main priority will be to protect the safety of the volunteers.

The central lab remains opened to ensure the sample management, the sampling kit logistic and the analysis or the proper storage of the samples depending of the analyte stability. The WGS & Microbiome sequencing will also remain opened.
In the meantime, the Biofortis forces are remotely preparing the upcoming studies in order to reduce the turnaround time of your project and so, minimize the impact of the current crisis on your activities.
